Muller Van Severen

Fien Muller and Hannes Van Severen founded Muller Van Severen in the spring of 2011. The two designers share a passion for research in the fields of art, architecture, and materials, which they merge into sculptural furniture pieces.

Their love for materials is the starting point for many of their designs. Their works are often handmade by small-scale producers and artisans, with a strong focus on the originality and irregularity of the chosen materials.

Inspired by the formal avant-garde of Ettore Sottsass and the chromatic explorations of Aldo Londi, Muller Van Severen have created the Onda collection – eight sculptural vases that transcend design to become pure formal movement, in an exploration of the relationship between form and space.
