Nathalie Du Pasquier was born in Bordeaux, France, in 1957. Since 1979 she has lived in Milan, where she was a founding member of the Memphis group. Her numerous designs for decorated surfaces such as textiles, carpets, furniture, and plastic laminates played a key role in shaping the group’s distinctive style.

Since 1987 painting has become her main focus. Her works have been exhibited in galleries and institutions around the world, including PACE Gallery, Camden Arts Centre in London, Kunsthalle Lissabon, and Kunsthalle Wien.
